In the Tang Dynasty, there was a highly skilled carpenter in Chang'an city named Li Qiaoshou. The furniture he made was not only exquisite and beautiful but also durable and highly sought after by officials and nobles. A rosewood bed with carved flowers that he made was exceptionally exquisite, and in a short time, it became known throughout Chang'an. Even the concubines in the imperial palace came to him to order a bed of this kind. Li Qiaoshou was busy every day, with a mountain of orders, but he was never careless, striving for perfection in every piece. His reputation spread throughout China, and he became a household name.
