Origin Story
话说周武王灭商之后，面临着如何处置商朝遗臣的问题。姜子牙建议杀掉所有商朝遗臣，理由是："爱屋及乌，他们曾经辅佐昏君，理应处死。"但周公却认为不可，认为不能因为商纣王的罪过而株连无辜。最后，周公的建议被采纳，商朝的许多遗臣得以保全。这个故事告诉我们，爱屋及乌不能滥用，要明辨是非，不可冤枉好人。
After the Zhou Dynasty defeated the Shang Dynasty, King Wu faced the problem of how to deal with the remaining Shang officials. Jiang Ziya suggested killing all the remaining Shang officials, on the grounds that "Loving the house and even the crows", they had assisted the tyrant, and should be put to death. But Duke Zhou argued that this was inappropriate, and that innocent people should not be implicated because of the crimes of King Shang. In the end, Duke Zhou's suggestion was adopted, and many officials of the Shang Dynasty were saved.
