Origin Story
During the Qing Dynasty, in the Jia Mansion, Baoyu and Qin Zhong studied at the school and became acquainted with Xue Pan, Jin Rong, and other mischievous youths. One day, a minor incident led to a conflict between Baoyu and Qin Zhong, and they subsequently developed a grudge against Xue Pan and his group. Yu Shi, Jia Zhen's wife, upon hearing this, was greatly angered. She reproached Qin Zhong, the younger brother of Qin Keqing, for his careless choice of friends, leading to the conflict. With a sigh, Yu Shi lamented that these bad friends only spread gossip and stirred up trouble. If they did not distance themselves from these dubious individuals, they would have difficulty achieving great things. Baoyu and Qin Zhong deeply regretted their actions and from that day on, they made amends, worked diligently, and ultimately distanced themselves from their former friends, walking the path of righteousness.
