Once, when a major corruption scandal involving powerful officials broke out at court, Fu Xian bravely fought for justice despite the pressure, bringing the corrupt officials to justice. The people praised him for his courage and justice. Simultaneously, a severe drought led to widespread famine. The people were suffering, and the situation was desperate. However, Emperor Hui showed little concern, even blaming the people for not eating meat porridge. When Fu Xian heard about this, he was furious and wrote a letter to the Emperor. In the letter, he criticized the extravagant lifestyle of the court and urged him to reduce taxes and help the suffering people. His petition angered the Emperor but moved many officials and citizens. In the end, thanks to the efforts of Fu Xian and others, the court implemented measures to assist the starving people, and the situation stabilized. Fu Xian's spirit of hating evil and fighting for the people became a model for future officials.
