During the Three Kingdoms period, Guan Yu, a famous general of Shu Han, led his army to attack Xiangyang, engaging in fierce battles with Cao's army. Guan Yu's army fought bravely, but Cao's army outnumbered them greatly. After a day and night of fighting, Shu's army was defeated, and countless soldiers were killed or injured; blood flowed like rivers. Yet, Guan Yu did not retreat. He wielded his Qinglong Yanyue Dao and led his remaining troops in a desperate fight, showing extraordinary courage and perseverance. Although Shu's army ultimately failed, Guan Yu's heroic deeds have been passed down through history. The bloody scene of this battle is the perfect interpretation of the idiom "blood flowed like rivers."
