During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang led the Shu army on a northern campaign, engaging in a fierce confrontation with the Cao Wei army at Wuzhangyuan. The Wei army, with its advantageous terrain and people, held a superior position, and the battle became deadlocked. Zhuge Liang knew the importance of a quick decision, cleverly using the terrain to set ambushes and employing elite troops as the vanguard to launch a fierce attack. The Shu army was unstoppable, and the Wei army's defense line was quickly breached. Seeing the unfavorable situation, Wei army commander Sima Yi decisively chose to retreat to avoid greater losses. The Shu army pressed on their advantage, ultimately winning the Battle of Wuzhangyuan and gaining valuable time and strategic space for Shu Han. This battle became a classic example in Zhuge Liang's military career, fully demonstrating his outstanding military command capabilities and flexible tactical use.
