Origin Story
战国时期,赵国邯郸有个年轻人,听说邯郸人走路姿态优雅,便前往邯郸学习他们的步法。他模仿得很认真,却越学越不像,最后竟忘了自己原来的走路方法,只能在地上爬着回去。
During the Warring States period, a young man from Handan, the capital of the Zhao state, went to Handan to learn the elegant gait of its people. He imitated them diligently, but the more he practiced, the clumsier he became, until he finally forgot his own way of walking and could only crawl back on his hands and knees.
Usage
用于形容盲目模仿,结果适得其反,甚至失去自身优势的情况。
Used to describe the situation where blindly imitating others leads to the opposite result, even losing one's own advantages.
