Origin Story
In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, when the warlords were vying for dominance and the land was in chaos, Cao Cao controlled the north and planned to advance southward to unify China. Sun Quan stationed his troops in the east and vowed to resist to the death. To seize control of Jingzhou, both sides engaged in an intense military confrontation at Red Cliffs. Cao Cao sent his general Xia Hou Dun to attack the troops of Sun Quan’s general Zhou Yu, and the two sides engaged in a fierce battle by the river. Xia Hou Dun had many soldiers and generals and was fearless, while Zhou Yu had fewer soldiers and generals but fought calmly. On the battlefields of both sides, war drums thundered, swords and spears flashed, and the cries of battle echoed. Xia Hou Dun was a brave and skilled warrior, wielding his great sword with unstoppable force. Zhou Yu planned strategically with wisdom and led his troops with calm determination. Skillfully using the terrain, he achieved victory with fewer soldiers and finally defeated Xia Hou Dun. In this war, both sides were sharply opposed, and neither was willing to give way. It was a classic battle.
