Origin
战国时期，一个楚国人坐船渡长江，船行至江山时他不小心将身上佩带的宝剑掉到水中，但没能及时抓住，于是就在掉剑的地方船舷作了一个记号，船靠岸后就在刚做记号的地方下水去摸他的宝剑，结果一无所获。

During the Warring States period, a man from the state of Chu was crossing the Yangtze River by boat. When the boat reached the river bank, he accidentally dropped the sword he was carrying into the water, but he couldn't catch it in time. So he made a mark on the side of the boat where the sword fell. After the boat docked, he went into the water from the place where he had made the mark to search for his sword, but he found nothing.
