Origin Story
During the Spring and Autumn period, the Wu army was unstoppable, conquering cities and expanding its territory. In a major battle, King Fuchai of Wu led his army against the powerful Yue state. Before the battle began, the Wu army formed its ranks, and red flags waved everywhere, soldiers wearing bright armor, the ranks neat and uniform, and their fighting spirit was impressive. From a distance, it looked like a raging fire, and again like a field of white flowers, a spectacular scene. The morale of Wu's soldiers was high, their fighting spirit soaring, and ultimately they won a glorious victory against the odds. This war fully demonstrated the Wu army's strength and its fiery fighting spirit. After this, “ru huo ru tu” has become a commonly used idiom to describe the vigorous momentum and passionate atmosphere of large-scale actions.
