During the Warring States period, there was a general named Le Yi, who since childhood aspired to serve the country and achieve great feats. He studied diligently, was well-versed in military books, and was proficient in strategy, earning the appreciation of King Zhao of Yan. In 284 BC, a war broke out between Yan and Qi, and Le Yi, under dire circumstances, was given the mission to lead the Yan army in attacking Qi. His strategic planning and decisive command brought successive victories, resulting in the capture of over seventy cities. Qi was nearly destroyed. Le Yi’s achievements are renowned throughout history, and his fame spread throughout China. Despite his success, Le Yi remained clear-headed, fully aware that a person’s fate is inextricably linked to the rise and fall of their nation. It was this great ambition, his "aim at a thousand li," that enabled him to ultimately achieve his glorious success.
