During the Han Dynasty, there was a general named Wei Qing who repeatedly made great achievements in defending the country. He was brave and good at fighting, repeatedly defeating the Xiongnu and preventing them from easily attacking south. The people lived in peace and prosperity under his leadership. Emperor Wu of Han admired Wei Qing's merit very much and built him a magnificent tomb. He also ordered the massive promotion of his accomplishments throughout the country. Many people wrote poems and songs to praise Wei Qing's achievements and noble character. Wei Qing's merits spread to every corner of the country. The people were elated by Wei Qing's merits and celebrated with songs and dances to express their admiration.
