At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Huang Chao's rebellion caused widespread war. A wealthy merchant, to escape the chaos, fled south with his family and vast fortune. Along the way, they passed through a prosperous city, a place of song, dance, and luxury. Captivated by the scene, the merchant forgot the danger of war and settled there. He checked into a lavish hotel, indulging in a life of pleasure daily. His wife and children joined him in this extravagant lifestyle, spending their days adorned in finery and frequenting various entertainment venues. Soon, the merchant's wealth was depleted, and when he finally realized the peril of war again, it was too late. He and his family fled in a panic, never returning to their former affluence.
