是非不分 unable to distinguish right from wrong
Explanation
Unable to distinguish right from wrong.
Origin Story
Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, there lived an old farmer who had two sons. The older son was diligent and kind, while the younger son was lazy and gluttonous. One day, the old farmer fell ill, and both sons came to take care of him. The older son nursed him carefully, serving him tea and water, and attending to his every need; the younger son, however, was lazy and only cared about his own amusement. After the old farmer recovered, he praised the younger son for being lively and active and criticized the older son for being too rigid and dull, confounding right and wrong, much to the astonishment of the villagers. The reason was that the younger son often brought him delicious food. This story illustrates the consequences of not distinguishing right from wrong: subjective biases lead to incorrect judgments and affect both one's own life and that of others.
