Origin Story

西汉时期,河内郡有一个叫郭解的人,他武艺高强,仗义疏财,被人们称为侠客。但他为人霸道,结党营私,多次参与打架斗殴,甚至杀人越货,无恶不作。他还敢于对抗朝廷,公然违抗皇帝的命令。汉武帝听说后非常震怒,下令严惩郭解。但是,郭解势力庞大,很多人为其说情,朝廷官员也多有袒护。御史大夫公孙弘力主严惩郭解,认为他罪不容诛,最终汉武帝下令将郭解及其党羽全部处死。郭解的故事成为了后人警示的典型,告诫人们要遵守法律,不能为所欲为。

During the Western Han Dynasty, there was a man named Guo Jie in Henan County. He was skilled in martial arts and generous, known as a knight-errant. However, he was overbearing, forming private armies and was involved in numerous fights and even murder. He even dared to defy the emperor's orders. Emperor Wu of Han was furious and ordered Guo Jie's severe punishment. However, Guo Jie was powerful and many interceded for him, and many officials also protected him. Grand Historian Gongsun Hong insisted on punishing Guo Jie severely, believing that his crimes were unforgivable. Finally, Emperor Wu ordered the execution of Guo Jie and his followers. Guo Jie's story became a warning to future generations, cautioning against violating laws and acting without restraint.
