In 346 AD, General Huan Wen of the Jin Dynasty led his troops to attack Shu, passing through the Three Gorges. A captured young monkey was brought onto the ship, and its mother ran anxiously along the bank, following the fleet for hundreds of miles. When the fleet reached the Wu Gorge, the mother monkey jumped onto the ship without hesitation, finally exhausted and dead. After the autopsy, people found that the mother monkey's liver and intestines were broken, indicating extreme grief. This is the famous story of “The Weeping Monkey Mother”. This story fully demonstrates the greatness and power of motherly love, also reminiscent of heart-wrenching scenes of grief in the world. Whether it is the death of a loved one, the loss of a lover, or other major setbacks, it can evoke a strong resonance in people.
